Beneficio Brumas Del Zurqui is a micro mill located in the Central Valley region of Costa Rica in the subregion of Heredia. The mill is operated by Juan Ramon Alvarado Rodriguez and his family. A fourth-generation coffee producer who began innovating and expanding their processing infrastructure. They have also built a cupping laboratory and roastery to
ensure and maintain coffee quality. 

In the past couple of years, the micro mill faced labour shortages due to the pandemic and the migration of workers to other countries. However, Juan takes pride in his work and strives to build a family, generate employment, and provide a positive social and economic impact to his community through coffee.

He hopes the values and love of coffee he cultivates on the farm will be carried from seed to cup.
