Established in 2003 under Keizo Shimizu’s Nepenthes, South2 West8 takes its name from the address of its flagship store in Sapporo, located in the northern Japanese prefecture of Hokkaido. With a focus on function, South2 West8 is inspired by the Japanese fly fishing technique known as "Tenkara," reflecting the unique landscape of Hokkaido.
